Spring factory since 1957: experience at the service of the customer
Founded in Seregno in 1957 by Mr. Fumagalli, our spring factory has a long-standing history of collaborations, acquisitions and innovations that have made MKF a historic spring manufacturer, renowned in both the Italian and international markets.
Thanks to the resourcefulness of the Fumagalli family and their attention to detail and raw material quality, we have specialised in the supply and distribution of wire springs for compression, extension and torsion.
Reach out to us for more information about our production. From our headquarters in Seveso, near Monza–Brianza, we deliver springs across all Italian regions and also to foreign countries, such as China.
The milestones of our company:

1957
Mr. Eugenio Fumagalli founded his business in 1957, in his villa in Seregno, under the name ‘Mollificio Artigiano’. When his young son entered the company, it marked the beginning of a progressive transformation and innovation process.

1977
In this year, the company changed its name to ‘Mollificio Enrico Fumagalli’ and two years later the first production facility was inaugurated.
In the early 1980s, the first major acquisition took place with the purchase of the spring division of ‘Nuova Ressort’ in Fara Gera d’Adda. Shortly after, operations were moved to new facilities in Pozzo d’Adda.
At that time, MKF Mollificio was established.

1985
In 1985, MKF completed the significant acquisition of Mollificio Kimuelle, based in Barcelona (Spain).
This strategic move gave MKF a crucial local presence with a strategic client for springs and suspension systems.

1998
Just over ten years later, the company acquired a 5,000 sqm facility in the Seveso area and in the following years, a decision was made to consolidate operations.
The Pozzo d’Adda facilities were sold and the entire production was relocated to Seveso (Monza Brianza, Italy).

2006
Following its relocation, the company name was unified as ‘MKF Srl’. Marco Fumagalli (third generation) officially joined the company as General Manager.
In the same year, MKF acquired Mollificio LETA.
With this acquisition, production of flat springs using Bihler machines was expanded, along with the manufacturing of shaped wire parts using Wafios FMU1, FMU2 and FMU4.

2011
The company continued to grow and, in 2011, a new 4,000 sqm production site was inaugurated in Cabiate (Como, Italy).
The Fumagalli family kept moving forward, expanding the company through new acquisitions.

2016 – Today
The historic Mollificio Scala became part of the group, expanding the Bihler press fleet.
The most recent acquisition was Mollificio San Giorgio in Lissone, which joined the group on 7 March 2022, retaining its historic name.
This strategic acquisition was made for the specialised production of Mollificio San Giorgio, which diversifies MKF’s product range.
